11 am.

Hayden sighed and closed her eyes again. She moved around trying to get comfortable, which was hard with Rimfire's arm draped across her like a dead weight.

She looked at the clock again.

11:01 am.

She sighed again and looked at the sleeping, mouse beside her. The vampire beside her. He seemed so peaceful, yet so sad. A blood tear was dried on his fur. Haydy gave a half-smile and reached over to the clock radio. A familiar song came to her ears.

Hayden looked sadly at Rimfire again.

She pressed a gently kiss to his forehead. Nothing would wake him she knew. Those golden eyes, once brown, wouldn't open till night fell.

It was hard for even her to believe that she had stood by him through this all. Haydy had always seen her self as something of a coward. But it was hard not to want to stand by his side through it all. She just wished he'd let her know what he was going throughfeeling.

Sometimes it made her so angry that this had happened to him. What had Rimfire done to deserve this fate? She hated Damion so much for putting Rim through this. For making, him decide. Though Rim wouldn't admit it, he had a choice between immortality and trying to get is mortality back. And sometimes she was afraid the vampire was winning out. But even if it did, she'd stay by him.
