Charley sighed as she turned off her alarm. 5:00am. I can sleep a little while longer... She rolled over and snuggled back under her comforter. Sleep, however, was not coming to her that easily. Her mind kept wandering back to the dream she had been having, and her body was blatantly refusing to relax enough to let her get back to it. She sighed and grumbled as she gave in to her insistent body's demand to get out of bed. Throwing off her blanket, she stepped into her slippers and grabbed her robe as she walked to the bathroom.

*PFRSSSHHHHHHHH*

She jerked her arm back from the shower before the freezing water reached her hand. With a practiced toss, she threw her robe at the hook on the bathroom door. It caught on the hook and remained suspended off the floor. Steam rolled out of the shower as the water started to heat up. She wiped off the quickly fogging mirror and looked at herself as she kicked off her slippers. The green-eyed woman in the mirror made a rude face, then laughed. She shook her head and stripped off her nightshirt, stretching languidly as she raised the short, filmy material over her head.

A secretive smile played on her lips as she let the silky nightshirt slowly fall from her arms and brush her legs on the way to the floor. She shivered deliciously as goosebumps tingled and buzzed every inch of her skin. She looked in the full-length mirror, pushing her hands down the sides of her ribcage and over her bare hips to sooth the taught muscles. I wonder how Vinnie would react if I told him I don't wear underwear to bed. She snickered and shook her head, but didn't dismiss the thought entirely. Turning slightly, she gave herself a sharp look in the mirror before it completely fogged over. She smiled at the sleek, toned figure in the glass, and ran her fingers lightly from her neck, down her chest, across her flat stomach, and ended by tracing the muscle line down her thigh. Not bad. She grinned at herself and turned toward the steaming shower.

Whatever notions of sleep left in her mind were erased as she stepped into the shower. She leaned against the wall, delighting in the feel of the hot water enveloping her and washing away the goosebumps. Closing her eyes, she stepped forward and dipped her head into the water to let it run through her tangled hair. Above the showerhead, she had installed a waterproof radio and she reached up to turn it on. It was the ending music to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. Speaking of thrillers... She smiled to herself, remembering the dream she was so rudely awakened from that morning.

"Time to wake up, all you lazy bums!!" The DJ announced over the radio. "It's all request FRIDAY!!!! And this song goes out to a very special lady in Chicago...Gina, I hope you're listening, cause this one's for you, doll."

A slow beat and some simple chords floated from the radio. Mmmmm...a romantic. Keep this one, Gina. He sounds like a sweetie. She looked up and reached for the shampoo as she hummed along with the music.

I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy.

I'll be your hope, I'll be your love, be everything that you need.

I'll love you more with every breath, truly, madly, deeply do.

I will be strong, I will be faithful, cause I'm counting on a new beginning,

A reason for living,

A deeper meaning, yeah.

A slight smile tugged at her lips as she poured some shampoo into her hands. I know a sweetie, too, Gina. She closed her eyes and ran her shampooed hands through her hair. Very sweet.

I wanna stand with you on the mountain.

I wanna bathe with you in the sea.

I wanna lay like this forever,

Until the sky falls down on me.

She could feel him standing behind her, running his fingertips up her arms. Both his hands were warm, the hot water having heated the usually cold steel hand on the left. He gently removed her hands from her hair, and began to work his fingers through it, massaging the shampoo in. An electric tingling spread across her scalp, working its way down her spine and under her skin.

And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,

I'll make a wish, send it to heaven and make you want to cry,

The tears of joy for all the pleasure and the certainty,

That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of the highest powers.

In lonely hours,

The tears devour you.

She traced lazy designs down his arms, giggling inwardly as he instinctively tried to pull his left arm away from her in embarrassment. As she leaned back against his body, she reached up and snaked her arms around his neck, feeling his wet, gray fur slide between her fingers.

I wanna stand with you on the mountain.

I wanna bathe with you in the sea.

I wanna lay like this forever,

Until the sky falls down on me.

His heartbeat echoed through her back, pounding in her own chest, and she could feel him tremble as she softly caressed the back of his neck. He had her head tilted slightly back, making sure she didn't get shampoo in her eyes. He was so gentle, so kind, so tender, so unlike what he appeared to be.

Oh, can you see it, baby?

You don't have to close your eyes.

Just standing right before you.

All that you need will surely come.

She sighed and tightened her hold around his neck, snuggling back against him. The feel of his incredibly muscular form pressing against the full length of her body brought her already tingling skin buzzing to a heightened pitch. His thick, gray fur tickled her back as she leaned against him, and she couldn't help but giggle.

I'll be your dream, I'll be your wish, I'll be your fantasy.

I'll be your hope, I'll be your love, be everything that you need.

I'll love you more with every breath, truly, madly, deeply do.

He made her feel so safe, so protected. She shifted her feet, making her body rub against his. A sly smile spread across her lips as she felt her slight movement causing every muscle in his body to tense up under his soft, wet fur. His heartbeat quickened, and she could feel him wrap his tail around her waist.

I wanna stand with you on the mountain.

I wanna bathe with you in the sea.

I wanna lay like this forever,

Until the sky falls down on me.

He stopped massaging the shampoo into her hair and wrapped his arms around her. The embrace warmed her beyond anything physical. She felt him tenderly kiss her shoulder, then her neck, and then her cheek. His cheek rested against her own as he squeezed her ever so gently, and she practically melted into his arms.

I wanna stand with you on the mountain.

I wanna bathe with you in the sea.

I wanna lay like this forever,

Until the sky falls down on me.

She sighed as his embrace faded with the song. She rinsed the lather out of her hair and looked around for her conditioner.

"That was 'Truly, madly, deeply' by Savage Garden, and we will be right back with more requests in a few!" The DJ announced cheerfully.

She rolled her eyes as a corny commercial came on and she switched the station.

---late you.

You let me desecrate you.

You let me penetrate you.

You let me complicate you.

She stopped at the station, the whispered words and the strange beat of the song sounding oddly familiar. Now, what is this song...

(Help me)

I broke apart my insides!

Memory came back to her as she recognized Nine Inch Nails. She kept her hand on the dial, still considering whether or not to turn the station.

(Help me)

I've got no soul to sell!

(Help me)

She smiled evilly and laughed as she recalled the words and title to the song.

The only thing that works for me,

Help me get away from myself!

I wanna f---

Reluctantly, she turned the dial and changed the station to something a little tamer. I think I'll have to pass on that one this morning. 'Wherever I may Roam' by Metallica broke clear of the static as she searched, and she grabbed her conditioner.

---I'll take my find anywhere.

Anywhere I roam,

Where I lay my head is home.

Carved upon my stone,

My body lie, but still I roam.

Wherever I may roam.

She poured some conditioner into her hand as the song ended and another began. A grin spread across her face as she worked the conditioner into her hair and listened to the sultry beat of the new song. She closed her eyes and leaned back against the shower wall, letting her body move sensually to Ginuwine's 'Tell me do u wanna'.

Tell me do you wanna go home with me.

Tell me do you wanna come creep with me.

Tell me do you wanna get wild with me.

Tell me do you wanna go home...

Fire seared her blood as she felt hands run up the sides of her legs, stopping at her hips and pulling her away from the shower wall. He ran his hands up her back, pulling her closer to him till she could feel his hips moving in sync with hers. Sparks exploded behind her eyes as she felt him kiss the tender spot where her shoulder met her neck, the metal mask covering the right half of his face brushing against her neck.

The dance floor is jumpin'.

The music is pumpin'.

I'm checkin' out your grooves.

About to make my moves,

Across this crowded room,

Cause I'm scopin' you.

Feelin' confident, I just came from the bar,

Sick a' wonderin' who the hell you are,

Cause I'm wantin' you.

What a fella gotta do?

She ran her hands up his back, feeling the water from the shower course through his snow white fur. Slowly, she raked her fingernails down his back, delighting in his immediate reaction. Every inch of his tone body went rigid, and he let go of her, putting his hands against the wall as he gasped.

Tell me do you wanna go home with me.

Tell me do you wanna come creep with me.

Tell me do you wanna get wild with me.

Tell me do you wanna go home...

She circled his waist with her nails and slowly slid her hands up his chest, smiling at his rapid heartbeat. As she reached his neck, she leaned back against the wall and ran her fingertips down his arms till she had a hold of his hands. He took her hands and held her arms behind her back, pulling her tightly against him again.

If you wanna have some fun,

Come ride with me, let's chill.

I'll take you to a place,

And both of us get ill,

Cause I'm feelin' you.

Just tell me what to do.

Take my hand let's go, that's all I wanna do.

Fella's wonderin', how I stepped with you.

Cause my game was tight.

Everything turned out right, that night.

She could feel his entire body shiver against her as she reached up and lightly stroked the rims of his ears. He ran his hands up her arms and laced his fingers in her hair, tilting her head back so he could kiss her throat. Fire lit up her skin as he kissed his way up her throat and playfully bit her chin.

Tell me do you wanna go home with me.

Tell me do you wanna come creep with me.

Tell me do you wanna get wild with me.

Tell me do you wanna go home...

He unwrapped his fingers from her hair and moved them down her neck and shoulders. The water from the shower did nothing to quench her blazing skin. His hands slid smoothly across her wet body hungrily, seeking, touching, feeling, exploring, and memorizing every inch of her.

I'll break you off till the sun comes up.

(Baby)

Come and get this thing, girl.

Won't tell a soul, it's down low.

(Trust me)

I'll give you what you want, baby.

Let's go get freaky, cause I'm in the mood.

(Get nasty)

Get wild on my side, baby.

Wanna get in where I fit in, baby.

(Baby)

Tell me do you wanna go...

He followed his hands across her blistering skin with hungry kisses and fiery bites. She threw her head back and clawed at the shower walls, her mind overloading in the frenzy of sensation. As he worked his way back up her chest, she had to bite her lower lip to keep from screaming in frustrated joy.

(I gotta have you all to myself)

Tell me do you wanna go home with me.

(Yes I do)

Tell me do you wanna come creep with me.

(I've been peepin' you, I like your style.)

Tell me do you wanna get wild with me.

(I like the way you move)

Tell me do you wanna go home...

(Yes I do)

He finally reached her chin and stood up to his full height in front of her, embracing her fiercely. She returned the embrace with an equal passion, and she felt his tail wrap around her waist, keeping her as close to him as he could. Feeling the entire length of his body pressing so close against her own, his rapid heartbeat beating in her own chest, made her head swim in delight.

Tell me do you...

Tell me do you...

Tell me do you...

Tell me do you...

The song faded away, taking his quick heartbeat and tight embrace with it. She sighed and shook herself, smiling and humming tunelessly as she rinsed the conditioner out of her hair.

"Now that's a song like that kinda makes getting up worth it, isn't it, folks." The DJ said.

She giggled and looked slyly at the radio. You bet it is, buster!

"Hmmm...looks like another request this morning. Okay, JoAnna, here's Hansen fo---"

Instantly, she lunged for the tuning dial. Not on your life, sweetheart!! She searched the stations for a little bit and finally stopped at a country station. Though not the biggest fan of the music style, she liked listening to it on occasion. A commercial was just ending, and a familiar song began to play, the guitars and piano making slow, saucy sounds. She closed her eyes, humming with the music as she grabbed her bar of soap.

Well, I'm shameless,

When it comes to lovin' you.

I'll do anything you want me to.

I'll do anything at all.

And I'm standin',

Here for all the world to see.

Oh, baby that's what's left of me.

Don't have very far to fall.

The first thing she felt was something lightly running up her leg, sending electric shivers up her spine. His tan-orange tail went all the way up her side and down her arm to carefully lift the bar of soap from her hand. Her nerve endings lit up like sparklers as he lightly traced designs across her flat stomach with his fingertips.

You know, now I'm not a man who's ever been,

Insecure about the world I've been livin' in.

I don't break easy, I have my pride.

But if you need to be satisfied,

I'm shameless.

Oh honey, I don't have a prayer.

Every time I see you standin' there,

I go down upon my knees.

And I'm changin'.

Swore I'd never compromise.

Oh, but you convinced me otherwise.

I'll do anything you please.

Gasping, she felt him slowly kiss his way up her spine, turning the electric shivers to white-hot fire. He reached the nape of her neck and bit it gently. Her nerve endings exploded and she reached her arms back to lace her fingers in his hair. Instead of his hair, she found herself lacing her fingers with his and she trembled as she felt him kiss her hands, then nibble the tender insides of her wrists.

You see, in all my life I've never found,

What I couldn't resist, what I couldn't turn down.

I could walk away from anyone I ever knew,

But I can't walk away from you.

He let go of her hands, and she heard him lathering up the soap in his own hands. The silky feel of the soap lather along with his electric touch made for an exquisite combination. He started at her shoulders, massaging the soap into her tense muscles. Somehow, he managed to make a flawless transition from massaging to caressing as he worked down her back.

I have never let anything have this much control over me.

I work too hard to call my life my own.

And I've made myself a world, and it's worked so perfectly.

But it's your world now, I can't refuse.

I've never had so much to lose.

Oh, I'm shameless!

She felt him rest his forehead against her stomach as he moved and knelt in front of her. He took his time lathering her legs, and she felt him tremble as she ran her fingers through his hair. As he neared her hips, he kissed her flat belly hungrily, sending a jolt of flames coursing through her body. He stood up slowly, preceding the soapy lather with kisses and gentle nibbles.

You know, it should be easy for a man who's strong,

To say he's sorry, or admit when he's wrong.

I never lost anything I'd ever miss,

But I've never been in love like this!

It's outta my hands,

I'm shameless!

She let her hands slide down the tan-orange fur of his chest as he reached the hollow of her neck. His tail traced absent, fiery designs across her back while he kissed his way up her throat and brushed his tongue sensually over her lips. He gave her a lingering kiss on her forehead as he lovingly stroked her cheeks. Wrapping her arms around him, she leaned her head on his shoulder. His heartbeat was calm and steady as she felt him hold her close and run his fingers through her hair.

I don't have the power now.

I don't want it anyhow,

So I gotta let it go.

Oh, I'm shameless!

Shameless as a man can be!

You could make a total fool of me.

I just wanted you to know,

Oh, I'm shameless!

I just wanted you to know,

I'm shameless!

Oh, I'm down on my knees!

Shameless!

You say it, I'll do it!

Shameless!

His warm embrace faded with the final chords of Garth Brooks' 'Shameless'. She stood under the shower for a few more minutes, ignoring the radio and simply letting the water bring her back to reality. Shaking herself out of her rampant thoughts, she turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. Another annoying commercial came on the radio and she changed the station back to it's original spot.

---se I'm feelin' like a criminal!

And I need to be redeemed,

To the one I've sinned against,

Because he's all I ever knew of love.

She looked at the radio and smiled guiltlessly. You can feel like a criminal all you want, dear. I don't. Yet another commercial picked up where Fiona Apple's 'Criminal' left off, so she reached over and moved the tuning dial.

---for a day.

No, no, no!

I said, baby, I just want you back,

And I want you to stay.

Oh, yeah now.

I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh!

I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh!

I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh-oh!

And don't it feel good!

Hey! All right, now!

And don't it feel good!

Yeah! Oh, yeah, now!

And don't it feel good!

At the sound of Katrina and the Waves suddenly singing 'Walkin' on Sunshine', she just threw her head back and laughed, cranking up the volume as high as it would go. Sing it, sister, cause you know it feels good!! Still laughing joyfully, she sang with the music and danced out of the bathroom, sliding on her slippers and robe as she ran around the garage, turning on all the radios full blast.

Walkin' on sunshine...

Walkin' on sunshine...

I feel alive, I feel a love, I feel a love that's really there!

I feel alive, I feel a love, I feel a love that's really there!

I'm on sunshine, baby!

Oh! Oh, yeah!

I'm on sunshine, baby!

Oh! I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh!

I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh!

I'm walkin' on sunshine!

Wao-oh-oh!

And don't it feel good!

Hey! All right now!

And don't it feel good!

I say it, I say it, I say it again, now!

And don't it feel good!

Ooooh, yeah, now!

And don't it feel good!

Now don't it, don't it, don't it, don't it, don't it, don't it feel good!

I say it, I say it, I say it again, now!

And don't it feel good!

Oh, don't it, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't it feel good!

Tell me, tell me, tell me again, now!

And don't it feel good!

Heeeey, yeah, now!

And don't it feel good!

Oh, don't it feel good, don't it feel good!

Now, don't it feel good!

Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah! Oh yeah!

And don't it feel good!

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah! Oh yeah!

And don't it feel good!

By the time the song ended, she had almost gone hoarse with her over-enthusiastic singing, and she had worked up a little bit of a sweat dancing around the garage. She smiled mischievously as she turned off the radios. I may have to take another shower... Laughing deviously at herself, she walked back into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and combed through her hair, leaving it down to dry. The quickly approaching sounds of three familiar motorcycles came to her ears as she walked back out of the bathroom. They're up early. She rolled her eyes and smiled to herself. And probably hungry, too. She headed toward the stairs to her room as they came driving into the garage.

"Morning, guys!" She said cheerfully. "You're up early."

"Mornin', Charley-ma'am." Modo said.

"Mornin', Charley-girl." Throttle said, then glared at Vinnie. "Mr. 'Oh, I know how to set the alarm' over here woke us up at sunrise."

"I did set it right!" Vinnie protested. "The clock's probably broken, or something." He turned to Charley with a piteous look. "You wouldn't happen to have breakfast ready, would ya babe?"

"Does it look like I have breakfast ready?" She asked sardonically as she climbed the stairs. She couldn't help but chuckle as she caught Modo's guilty expression as he looked down at his bike, and Throttle's 'I knew we shouldn't've come here this early!' look he gave the wall. "Give me a few minutes to get dressed, okay?" She turned and walked up the stairs, humming absently to herself and feeling way too happy.

The Martian male's back went ramrod straight as he recognized the song she was humming. He got off his bike and stretched a little, hiding his reaction, and casually walked into the kitchen before his two friends noticed how red his face was turning. He leaned against the wall, desperately trying to push the all too familiar tune out of his head. However, it seemed that the more he tried to block out the song, the clearer he heard it. Getting increasingly embarrassed and a little frustrated, he gently hit the back of his head on the wall and looked up at the ceiling pleadingly. Realization came crashing back to him and he hung his head in defeat. There was no way he was going to get the song out of his head, because he was listening to Charley humming it in her bedroom directly above him. He shook his head, cursing himself. I shoulda stayed in the shower...

THE END...

And don't you look at me like that, cause you know you've thought about it, too!!!! *grin* {;->
